The lunette—French for little moon—is a closed rim of metal drawn around a stone, a setting that guards the girdle while framing the face of it. A round brilliant sits in blackened 18 karat white gold at the front of each 1 inch yellow gold hoop, the two metals set against one another so the stone reads cooler than the gold carrying it. Large enough to register across a room, light enough to forget you have them on.
