The details
Knotted lapis lazuli bead necklace with gold stations and a Victorian swivel fob clasp. One of a kind at De La Paix.
Lapis was the most expensive pigment in the medieval world before it was a jewel, ground for the blue in illuminated manuscripts. These knotted beads are punctuated at intervals with polished gold and finished with a swivel fob clasp and ring, the Victorian style watch-chain fitting—which means it can be worn long, doubled, or opened to carry a charm.
