Build a neck stack from the collarbone down: a short chain or a single-diamond pendant first, then longer belcher and trombone chains, a lariat, and antique charms on a fob clasp that moves from chain to chain.

How do I layer necklaces?

Start with the shortest at the collarbone and add each next layer two to three inches longer. Mix one diamond piece with plain gold chains so the layers stay distinct.

Can I add a charm to any chain?
